ABOUT EMILY

Emily Lauren Sause is a writer, vocal artist and garden tender born of Danish, Puerto Rican and Irish descent, raised in the Bay Area of California on the ancestral homelands of the Sierra Miwok.

Focusing on the intersection of group facilitation, experiential education and play, Sause is calibrated toward the role of the voice within realms of community resilience and regenerative land stewardship. Through sound facilitation, land tending, writing and vocal work, she seeks to bridge the personal practice into the unseen architecture of our communities and ecosystems.

On a mission toward global harmonization, Sause is currently working with institutions, groups and individuals to design content and facilitate experiences that invite us into harmonic resonance and group coherence. Sause serves as an experiential educator creating environments for youth and adults, with a multi-modal approach informed by her training in mindfulness, nonviolent communication, expressive arts-based and embodied facilitation. In addition to facilitated experience, her current work includes writing for organizations oriented toward empowered choice and a regenerative future.

This website offers a Vocal Toning practice where the medium of sound and vibration are used to create conditions in which one’s inner harmony can be restored and thereby emanated out into the world in its optimal form. Inspired by the pressing need to apply ancient wisdom to our modern times, Sause views this personal practice as a micro modality for a macro shift, encouraging every individual to hold themselves accountable for the vibration they emanate into the world. Her work is woven into a larger conversation about the collective nervous system, and what role each of us play as peacekeepers on the battleground of our own internal landscape, finding equilibrium between our physiology and psychology.

Sause currently resides in the Hudson Valley of New York, on the traditional homeland of the Mahican, Mohawk, Ramapough Lenape Munsee, caring for the garden at True North. She facilitates a weekly class on the Frequency platform, leading a group Vocal Toning practice that invites energetic alignment while reveling in the woven energetic web that is the group field. This practice was recently featured on Insight Timer and Welcome Earth TV. She is also currently facilitating as a mentor on the Playground of Life for Raising Humanity, a virtual village that nurtures the full potential of our future generations.

Her most recent projects include the writing and recording of the SuperHero Meditation Course designed for kids, as well as a curated series of contemplative sound meditations for Happy Not Perfect, a mental health App serving a global community. Sause is the voice of the guided meditations found within Akasha; The Game of Life, an interactive platform for self discovery informed by The Gene Keys and the I-Ching, assisting individuals in their journey of embracing challenge and unlocking their highest potential.

With an ongoing whimsy and a process-driven approach, Sause is writing and sharing her personal narratives that speak to collective themes of ancestral healing and liberation from epigenetic imprints.

When she is not writing or creating soundscapes, Emily can be found earthing in the sunshine, caring for her plant babies, dancing to the rhythm of her heart, crafting in the kitchen or on a canvas, or rhyming playful prose in her journal.
